I had the pleasure of working with Nicola as a Reception (FS2) teacher for several years. Throughout that time, she demonstrated an unwavering commitment to creating the best possible learning environment for her students. Her calssroom was always exceptionally well-organised, with carefully planned learning centres that were both engaging and developmentally appropiate.
Nicola regularly updated her classroom areas to reflect the interests and needs of her students ensuring that activities were both stimulating anc challenging. Her creativity was evident in every aspect of her teaching, making learning exciting and meaningful for the children in her care.
She built strong, positive relationships with her students, which was reflected in their behaviour and engagement. Her approach was always fair, consistent, and nuturing. Nicola posses a deep understanding of early years education and draws from a range of pedagogical approaches to support each child in reaching their full potential.
What truly sets Nicola apart is the genuine care she shows for her students – Not only as a teacher but with the warmth and compassion one might expect from a parent. She brought a wonderful sense of fun and humour to the team, creating a joyful and supportive atmosphere for both students and colleagues. Despite this light-hearted spirit, she always maintained the highest standards of professionalism.
In addition to her teaching expertise, Nicola has successfully held senior leadership positions including the role of Assistant Head. In this capacity, she led with vision, integrity, and a strong sense of purpose. She demonstrated excellent leadership qualities, inspiring those around her through her clear communications, collaborative spirit, and strategic thinking. Nicola was instrumental in driving school improvement and fostering a shared commitment to high standards across the team.
Nicola is an exceptional educator and coleague, and any school would be fortunate to have her as part of their team
